So far, 2021 has been another roller coaster year for us. Our little takeaway business has proved popular and we hope we’ve provided a welcome service for walkers and cyclists out on their daily exercise. It’s been a great way for us to keep everything ticking over and keep in touch with our customers. As the restrictions start to lift, we’re really hoping we can get back to ‘normal’ as quickly as possible. We’re currently intending to open on 12 April, if no other restrictions are brought in. We’re lucky enough to have three large outdoor seating areas and will be able to accommodate customers safely with plenty of space. We’re planning an outside covered area for poorer weather, and the current plan is for customers to be able to book some tables and leave others open for walk-ins.
There’s an optimistic feeling about everything at the moment, with our garden looking fabulous and bursting with colour. The lavender is starting to grow, although it won’t be in full flower until around July. Behind the pub, the Lovell Quinta Arboretum is literally blossoming with cherry trees, rhododendrons, great sweeps of daffodils, camellias and forsythia.
We currently have no set date for resuming our classic car and motorbike evenings, but customers can rest assured that as soon as we are able to so safely they will be going ahead once more. If you haven’t already done so, then liking our Facebook page is a great way of keeping up to date with what’s happening at our end.
Once everything is confirmed we’ll put out up to date information on our website, Facebook page and Instagram. Until then, thank you so much to everyone who has been able to support us in 2021 so far and we’re very much looking forward to welcoming you all back as soon as possible.
