The Swettenham Arms is delighted to announce winning The National Pub & Bar awards 2017…
The judging panel found The Swettenham Arms worthy winners. The aim for the 2017 Restaurant and Bar Awards is to explore and honour establishments of all sizes on an international level, with every winner awarded purely on the basis of nominations and reviews made by clients, peers and industry professionals.
The Swettenham Arms gained their award for both overall excellence and best practise. The establishment also is also recommended by the following guides: Michelin Restaurants & Hotels, Michelin Eating out in Pubs, AA pick of the pubs, the Good Beer Guide and the Good Pub Guide.
Fran Cunningham and her husband Jim have owned The Swettenham Arms for the last 24 years. They have lovingly cared for the business with passion ever since. Jim has now retired through ill health; however Fran, her son and her dedicated team currently serve over 1,000 customers per week.
Constantly refurbishing, replacing, upgrading and improving is the key to Fran’s success. This year she’s introduced a highly experienced events and weddings manager, offering a complementary service to help you plan you perfect stress free wedding, corporate meeting, school prom, or special event.
Nestled in the tiny village of Swettenham, in beautiful grounds, with a lavender meadow, lovely gardens and a huge car park, it is the perfect setting for your wedding. This is the only pub in Britain with its own lavender meadow of 4,000 plants, so it’s no surprise the Swettenham Arms won a gold Britain in Bloom award in 2015.
Independently owned and representing quality in every area, the Swettenham Arms offers the finest produce, wonderful real ales, the best coffee, stunning gardens and attention to detail everywhere – not just for a week or a month but for the last 24 years. Fran her family and team are very worthy winners!
The awards ceremony will take place at BAFTA London on May 23rd.
