  • Spent my 50th at this fabulous place. Hired Lovell Suite and had marquee attached. The canapes, dressed buffet, service from staff at function and overall presentation was absolutely incredible. Glyn, the manager, was superb – communicated brilliantly and was such a professional host. Had the best time. Very highly recommended.

  • We had a fabulous Rotary President’s night at the Arms and I would recommend it as a venue for anyone who is considering a special function whether it is for work or a social occasion. We had over 50 diners who were all served promptly with piping hot and delicious food by courteous and friendly staff. All in all it was a great evening and we will certainly be back to run more functions at the Swettenham Arms.

The setting outside and in was lovely and the food extremely good, as was the service. The banqueting room looked magnificent and the meal was out of this world – our guests all remarked on the quality. Glyn organised the proceedings very well so everything ran very smoothly. Compliments to the chef and the kitchen staff and the ladies waiting on table were just lovely. Thank you Fran for suggesting Roy Peters he was just great with the music during the meal and throughout the afternoon. It was a really memorable day for us and thank you all very much for making it so. We will have to visit you in the summer when the sunflowers and lavenders are out!”
