Now that our ‘season’ is under way (our first event was on April 9th), we thought we’d explain a bit more about our classic car and motorbike evenings for people who might be thinking of coming along but don’t know what to expect.
We first started our classic car evenings a few years ago, and added the motorbikes in later on. Originally, we ran our car evenings every week on a Tuesday and our motorbike evenings every Thursday. This year, for the first time, we’re combining both our events so we run the evenings twice a week on a Tuesday and a Thursday and cars and motorbikes are both welcome to come to both – so if you were a real die hard fan you could come and see us twice a week if you wanted to.
The evenings kick off about 7pm, and for all vehicle riders or drivers there’s a free hotdog if you get to us before 7.30. Everyone parks in our huge, spacious car park and has a wander around to see the vehicles – and we can some really lovely, unusual ones coming along. It’s a great way to meet new people with the same interests, and there’s a lot of bonding goes on over various models and engines! If you get to us too late for hotdogs or you want something a little more substantial, you can of course stay and have a meal with us as well – but we do advise booking.
What do we count as a classic car or motorbike? Well, we’re quite flexible! It could be a car over 20 years old, or with something unique about it, or with a bit of a back story, we really don’t mind. It’s all about having a drive out through some lovely country roads and meeting up with like-minded people for a sociable evening. We’re also get some of the local car clubs making the trip out, and we’re always pleased to see them. We also love seeing your photos of the events on Facebook or Instagram.
This summer, why not give it a try? Come and see us any Tuesday or Thursday evening, no need to book unless you want to eat with us. We look forward to seeing you.
