It takes a lot of time, effort and organisation to get the Swettenham Arms looking its festive best – but we’re there! With the aim of two men, a lorry, a cherry picker, lots of ladders and some safety equipment we’ve got our Christmas lights up in the big trees out by the car park, as well as in the smaller trees at the front and along the edges of the buildings – and it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Next month is a busy one for us – it’s the start of our festive fayre menu, which is packed with Christmassy favourites, as well as our party nights. We’ve got lunch on Christmas Day itself, and then there’s barely a moment to catch our breath before we get to one of our biggest events of the year – New Year’s Eve! This is always a fantastic occasion for us, with a gourmet meal, live entertainment and a disco to welcome the New Year in in style. This year we’re really excited to have Edd Swinglehurst, swing and jazz vocalist, performing for us – if you head over to Edd’s Facebook page you can see some videos of him in action. We’ve still got a few tickets left, so if you haven’t yet arranged anything for New Year’s Eve then give us a call as soon as you can – it’s £70 a head including dinner and entertainment, and you can see the full menu over on our food page.
Whew! After all that, we’re really going to need a sit down in January – but we’re not going to get one! January sees the start of our New Year 50% off offer – all food half price, weekday evenings only, when you order two courses or more.
We hope to see as many of our friends and customers as possible over the festive season – and a very happy Christmas and New Year to everyone.
