Been kicking up leaves on an autumnal family walk? Cycled along the footpaths on a bright spring day? Taken a stroll in the neighbouring arboretum? We’d love to see your photos taken in and around the pub.
All decorated for festive season, warm and welcoming. All staff were attentive and efficient. Food beautifully prepared and served.
We had a lovely evening, enjoyed everything. Bonus of half price food too, ends at the end of November but hurray, back on for January and February 2020.

Mothering Sunday lunch. Excellent choices all served by a very pleasant waiting staff of young ladies . We dined in the Lovell Suite , what a super light room. The meal was superb, and the place was busy.

We stumbled upon this beautiful pub whilst out and about on a bike ride. We’re glad we did because it was a very welcoming place. We found a cosy corner table and enjoyed an evening meal here. Good ales on too. Service friendly and very efficient. Couldn’t fault our experience here. Would definitely revisit if in the area again and would recommend without hesitation.

“A lovely sunny evening. Warm welcome. Dog friendly. A really enjoyable meal of duck breast and tasty red cabbage. Staff and locals very welcoming and helpful.”

The local surroundings are lovely and set in Cheshire countryside, greeted at door immediately on entering and shown to our table, drinks order promptly taken, and furnished with menus. Quick but not rushed service we are off to a good start. The only disappointment was my duck was cooked right through and I would much preferred it to be much pinker. This made what otherwise would have been a superb dish only a good one. But still a good one. Desserts were lovely, service fantastic, so very very nearly a five star rating I look forward to returning.

Big thanks to you and your staff for our Golden Wedding Celebration
Nothing was too much trouble

Spent my 50th at this fabulous place. Hired Lovell Suite and had marquee attached. The canapes, dressed buffet, service from staff at function and overall presentation was absolutely incredible. Glyn, the manager, was superb – communicated brilliantly and was such a professional host. Had the best time. Very highly recommended.

“We would just like to thank you and the staff at the Swettenham Arms for the really splendid 80th birthday celebration we had on Sunday afternoon, 7th February. The banqueting room looked magnificent and the meal was out of this world – our guests all remarked on the quality. Glyn organised the proceedings very well so everything ran very smoothly. Compliments to the chef and the kitchen staff and the ladies waiting on table were just lovely. Thank you Fran for suggesting Roy Peters he was just great with the music during the meal and throughout the afternoon. It was a really memorable day for us and thank you all very much for making it so. We will have to visit you in the summer when the sunflowers and lavenders are out!”

“Friday 26th July was my daughter’s wedding. We were lucky with the weather and what a great setting. The food was superb and even the pickiest eaters said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding . I have nothing but praise for Glyn and his team for the seamless management of the wedding breakfast . They helped to make a wonderful day even more special.”

We had a salad and a salmon sandwich with hand cut chips. All very good and a lovely place to be. Great service too.
