“The food quality here dipped a few years ago but is now consistently good. The menu could be considered old-fashioned, but to many of us that is a plus point! The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is freshly cooked and good quality.”
“One can not improve on perfection! Excellent day out.”
We had a small private function in the Lovell Suite at the Swettenham Arms last week, comprised of afternoon tea for approximately 20 people. Everything was extremely well organised and our waitress was very attentive.
“A lovely sunny evening. Warm welcome. Dog friendly. A really enjoyable meal of duck breast and tasty red cabbage. Staff and locals very welcoming and helpful.”
“Called in today and the place is a typical English pub. Beams, horse brasses and a lovely atmosphere. I have been before and the place gets really busy at the weekends. Great place for a pub lunch so try it if you are in the area.”
All decorated for festive season, warm and welcoming. All staff were attentive and efficient. Food beautifully prepared and served.
We had a lovely evening, enjoyed everything. Bonus of half price food too, ends at the end of November but hurray, back on for January and February 2020.
Visited as a family to celebration a father and son’s birthdays with other family members. It was a great meal. The host could not have been more welcoming, felt special. Will certainly be back.
Sunday lunch with family, lovely pub/restaurant in a nice location. Booked in advance and was given a good table, excellent service and polite attentive staff. The food was piping hot and very tasty. Great pub and now a fixture on our favourite haunts – will definitely visit again.
Mothering Sunday lunch. Excellent choices all served by a very pleasant waiting staff of young ladies . We dined in the Lovell Suite , what a super light room. The meal was superb, and the place was busy.
