The Swettenham Arms is almost as well known for flowers as it is for food.
Over the years there has always been a stunning display of hanging baskets and flower pots at this lovely, traditional country pub, which together with the famous lavender meadow make a spectacular haven of beauty and tranquility for you to enjoy a drink or a meal. Our lavender meadow, planted in 2005, covers two acres and is a perfect backdrop for a quiet drink or a lazy Sunday lunch. It’s also a wonderful wedding venue, and we regularly have brides during the summer months immortalising the meadow in their wedding photos. It’s also a haven for wildlife, and on a sunny day you can see hundreds of butterflies dipping and swooping over the rows.
This year the Swettenham Arms is in the running for the North West Category of Britain in Bloom, results to be announced on 30th October.
