Here at the Swettenham Arms, we pride ourselves on being a country pub. That gives us multiple advantages, including a quiet, stunning location and lots of paths for cyclists and walkers. In fact, the only disadvantage we can think of is that in the winter it’s quite hard to get to us via any method other than driving! That’s why we’ve always been keen on offering a good range of soft and non-alcoholic and low alcohol drinks, to keep drivers happy. Here’s a quick update on our current offerings.

Soft drinks: as well as all the usual choices, such as mineral water, Coke, Fruit Shoots and fruit juice, we’ve also got soft drinks by Fevertree, Belvoir, Fentimans and Britvic, including Britvic Spritz in apple and watermelon or pear and raspberry flavours.

Lower alcohol: we’ve commissioned our very own exclusive, lower alcohol by volume (ABV)  bitter called Two Dogs, at just 2.8%.

Non-alcoholic: Prefer no alcohol at all? We’ve got Cobra Zero and Becks Blue, both at 0% ABV. We’ve also got Kopparberg alcohol-free cider, and alcohol-free Prosecco. If you’re a gin drinker but you’re also the designated driver for the evening, how about a Seedlip Original Spice 94? It’s the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic gin, and has zero calories and no sugar or sweetener. Made from natural botanical distillates and extracts including allspice berries, cardamon, grapefruit peel and lemon peel, team it with a Fevertree tonic water for a special drink.

There’s no need to feel left out this festive season with a range this good, and designated drivers will be spoilt for choice. To find out more about our food and drinks, take a look at our food page. We’ve got a wonderful range of events lined up over December, Christmas and New Year, whether you’re having a quiet night with family or a party with colleagues. Take a look at our events page to find out what’s on offer.
